I suppose you're asking yourself 'why another Gerry site?'
Well, I actually tried to get this one up and running 8 months ago, with the help of some wonderful ladies who chipped in for the hosting fee. Unfortunatly, RL stick it's ugly head in here and I never could devote the time needed to open the site. Life has now settled a bit and here I am.
This board came out of the needs of an old yahoo group, who out grew yahoo and its then, limitations. Some of you may remember SIWGWD, from either .net or yahoo. This was an attempt at growing from there.
Also, since I opened this, the Webhost of GALS has pulled in the reins on content. That is fine. I LOVE GALS!!! It is IMHO THE best Gerry site on the net!
But there are restrictions...not so here. Before I agreed to sign with activeboard, I contacted them and told them we would be engaging in ADULT content; i.e. language, subject matter, literary endeavours. I was told there can be no pornographic imaging, or any illeagal activity. If you have a doubt as to what you want to post PM me. Most likely it will be fine, as long as there are no blatent "dangly bits".
So have fun. No worries...this forum is rated R for Riotous and NC-17 for NoConstraints on our Gerry Lust!

Don't worry, we are all figuring this out as we go. I'll take your advice and start a Question thread.
Animated avis are allowed, I know this cuz, the one you made me works. On the page where you load your avi, be sure to put in the size of 100x100, and use the link to avatar clickie, then load the direct link from PB. I believe there are boxes there for hight and width. As for siggy sizes...I'm not sure so I'm using GALS guidelines for size. Mine is 470ishx220ish so I have room for my text.

I thought that I might explain the origins of the name for the site.
When we first moved to yahoo from .net (which was 'home'), Gerry had just bought his NY loft, and hadn't moved in yet. So being good girls we thought we'd move in to take care of it. We bagan calling our group 'the apartment' since it was turning into our second home. After about a year, I renamed my group Gerry's Apartment...and the rest...as they say, is history.
I feel very close to the name, and it holds even more meaning to me since Elvis called me after I left him feedback on his site for the beautiful work he did on Gerry's apartment.
